Refund policy
We'd rather you finish what you started. But we'd also rather refund you than keep money for a thing that didn't fit. Here's how each program works.

Cohort tuition
Full refund up to 7 days before start
- • 7+ days before cohort start: 100% refund, no questions asked. Email us; we process within 5 business days.
- • Less than 7 days before start: 50% refund OR a credit toward the next cohort, your choice.
- • After cohort starts: No tuition refund, but if life happens (injury, family, layoff), we'll roll your seat to the next cohort at no cost. Tell us within the first two weeks.
- • Subsidized / free seats: Same timing rules; no money changes hands either way.
Tool subscriptions
Cancel anytime, prorated
- • Most BCL tools are free for individual tradespeople.
- • If you're on a paid shop plan: cancel anytime from your account or by emailing us.
- • Refund of the unused portion of your current billing period, prorated to the day of cancellation.
- • Annual plans: prorated to the month of cancellation.
Donations
Generally non-refundable
As a 501(c)(3), donations are tax-deductible to the donor and are recorded as restricted or unrestricted contributions to the org. Once accepted, donations are non-refundable except in cases of duplicate transactions or clear error.
If you donated by mistake, email hello@bluecollarlabs.org within 30 days and we'll refund the transaction.
How to request a refund
One email, no forms
- 1. Email hello@bluecollarlabs.org with the order or donation reference.
- 2. We acknowledge within 2 business days.
- 3. We process the refund within 5 business days of acknowledgment.
- 4. The refund hits your card or bank in the timeline your provider sets (typically 3–10 business days).
